of Africa. This involved the people of Africa rising up against the colonial
occupation and achieving independence. Basicly working to achieve independence. The movement of African Countries to receive independence from their colonisers, to promote their African Traditions and Ideals.

Africans. To Unify and encourage co-operation between African countries and people of African decent.

African Nationalism is a movement for Africans to obtain independence from
colonialism.

both fought for the independence from colonial rule and strongly supported the
idea of Pan-Africanism, believing in a unity of Africans. Kwame Nkrumah was a leader in the fight against the British in Ghana, Robert Sudubcwe Was the founder of the PAC, He also was a member of the ANC. He was on House arrest On Robben Island, the only person who has ever done so.
6. The song solely
tells the story of an African sold as a slave to America, where he continued to
live. The Rastafarian religion strongly believes in Africans “returning to
their roots” in Africa. The song is perhaps a call for African Americans to
‘come back home’ to Africa, Bob Marley himself is a RustaFarian. He is also pointing out the struggle of the African People to get their freedom, the longing towards Going back to Africa. It is the idea of
African unity and freedom from non-African oppression that is conveyed in this
song. Bob Marley explains the abandoning of America, a place of non-African oppression
Which can be referred to African nationalism, and the returning to a unity in Africa
Which can be referred to Pan-Africanism.
